Abstract
Recently, I had the opportunity to watch a video, Surgical Correction of
Dissecting Aneurysm of Ascending Aorta (Baylor College of Medicine, 1963),
which made me reflect on the evolution of cardiovascular surgery in recent
decades and, at the same time, on the future of our specialty.
