Resumen

Si bien el accidente cerebrovascular (ACV) es una causa conocida de deterioro cognitivo, la relación entre la estenosis de la arteria carótida y la función cognitiva en los individuos es, por cierto, muy poco clara debido a la heterogeneidad metodológica de los estudios que evalúan el beneficio cognitivo tras la revascularización carotídea.
