Resumen
Desde el inicio del implante de las prótesis valvulares aórticas transcatéter, el procedimiento es cada vez más frecuente. Sin embargo, no se ha revisado la literatura existente en nuestro medio con respecto a este tema, por lo que decidimos efectuar una búsqueda intencionada de publicaciones mexicanas. Se efectuó una revisión de revistas y autores con enfoque en el uso de las prótesis valvulares aórticas transcatéter entre el 1 de mayo del 2012 y el 31 mayo del 2024. Se encontraron 16 publicaciones en el período analizado. Existe poca difusión en publicaciones científicas acerca del uso de las prótesis valvulares transcatéter en México, y sus ventajas y riesgos.
Es recomendable que los centros hospitalarios de derivación, además de realizar el procedimiento, difundan sus resultados.
